“Two years ago, I moved from the UK to Australia, the first country I’d ever lived in outside my own. My girlfriend and I landed in Sydney and found ourselves just a 12-minute walk from Bondi Beach.

I couldn’t find work in those first few months. It was tough. But I made a promise to myself: every day I’d walk down to Bondi Beach, camera in hand. Whether I caught sunrise or just the calm that followed, I’d wander the beach, take photos, and find stillness in the scene.

That ritual saved me. It gave me something to build into, and it sparked a love for photography.

I began sharing the photos with friends, and the response blew me away. People saw something in the images. They felt something. Since then, the idea to share this work has grown quietly inside me, and now thanks to Proud Mary’s café in Shepherd’s Bush, I’ve been given the opportunity to bring these moments into a physical space, and now into your hands.

Ryans Stamp Book is a series of captured scenes and real-life moments from my time living beside Bondi. Each print is personal, honest, and rooted in place. I hope they bring the same sense of calm and connection to you as they did to me.”
